Welcome

More Than a Stay.

A Historic Homecoming.

Built in 1877 for local nobility, Quinta de Sá is an estate rich with Portuguese history. Carefully restored in 2019, the property has traded its formal grandeur for true, inviting warmth.

Today, it is not a traditional hotel—it is a living, breathing home. Every azulejo tile, exposed stone wall, and grand granite arch speaks to over a century of craftsmanship.

It is a place designed for travelers who appreciate quietude, heritage architecture, and the kind of morning light that makes you reach for your camera before your coffee.

Guest Stories

Words from Our Guests

We received a very warm welcome and immediately felt at home. The house, the garden and also the room are stunningly beautiful. The breakfast is exceptional and Mom's coffee is the best we had during our entire stay in Portugal (and we visited many hotels). You can park directly on the property and quickly reach the river on foot. The night was super quiet and the bed is excellent.

Saffron Room

The accommodation is a small dream oasis just outside Porto, overlooking the Douro River. Every detail was perfect. Upon arrival, we were offered coffee. The room was spacious, the bed excellent. I truly felt a lovely sense of home. As an added bonus, there’s a terrace with a view where you can relax. I would go back there anytime!

Beautiful and peaceful place. It gave peace of mind. The sweetest people who own the place. Very well prepared and healthy breakfast. Everything was homemade. The room was bright and delicious. Lovely wide bed. Would love to come again.
